Hello there! My name is Lyra (pronounced Lee-ruh) Matin, MA, LMFT, founder of Core Insight Psychology and a dedicated wellness practitioner.
I am a compassionate and curious depth-trained and results-oriented psychotherapist. I work with individuals, couples, families and groups.
My goal is to help you through the journey of Individuation--the realization of your optimal unfolding by coming into alignment with your authentic self. I help you gain self-awareness and access to your wisdom. I teach psychological tools to help you break through unconscious limiting beliefs and cultivate positive habits for continued personal growth and healing in and beyond therapy.
If you are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, creative blocks, a difficult life transition, unhealthy thoughts and behaviors that you can’t seem to change, existential dilemmas, relational and family conflicts, and challenges regarding your neurodiversity or sexuality, I will help you use them as opportunities for positive and sustainable transformation.
If you are a couple, I help both of you use your relationship as a container for greater intimacy that nurtures your mutual healing and development. Cultivating a great relationship is a matter of understanding the interplay of personal and relational dynamics while learning skills of communication, safety, repair, and play. I also assist those who may be in the process of uncoupling and want to use the experience for greater personal insight and transformation, and bring closure to the relationship with a respectful, compassionate and mindful approach.
